Description
Sakura – or Cherry Blossoms – represent happiness, spring and a time of renewal. Cherry Blossoms bloom for only about 2 weeks, therefore it reflects on the fleeting nature of life. In Japanese culture they are the embodiment of beauty and mortality.
Sakura carry a dual and somewhat conflicting meaning, embodying both life and death, as well as grace and impermanence. The onset of spring and their blossoms suggest renewal, vitality, and fresh beginnings, yet their short-lived beauty also highlights how quickly life fades, reminding us of its fragile and fleeting nature.
Jadeite (hisui in Japanese) is a stone that occurs naturally in Japan and has long had a special place in the affections of Japanese people. It was officially recognized as the national stone of Japan in 2016.
